I have stayed in this hotel on literally dozens of occasions. On this occasion the first in over a year I was hit with stupid parking fees and the parking lot was half empty. There were ridiculous room charges far higher than normal for room service. I will

Eloquent, yet very earthy, fabulous breakfast & happy hour we had no idea about. Very spacious rooms.
Small pool and hot tub.
Nice reception even though we were late night arrivals. We had to sleep 3 or 4 depending and that is usually awkward were our out of country guests) but they did tag a $20.00 parking charge on.

Had to go to fourth floor to find a functioning ice machine.
Probably a good location if you have business in South San Francisco or are flying in or out of SFO. Not a good location for seeing the tourist areas in SF, unless you have and don't mind driving a car. ...read more

The central courtyard/atrium was beautiful and the breakfast was outstanding.
We ended up with a smoking room even though we requested non-smoking.
I was a bit unhappy to end up with a smoking room, but the hotel was full. The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable and the setting for our breakfast and the quality of the food cased us to linger over our breakfast. Staff was very friendly. ...read more
